Halloween!!

Halloween was a really long day but really fun. It started out at 8 am with me making Bart and myself our costumes. I got black sweatshirts and transfer paper to make skeletons and then out lined them in glow in the dark puffy paint (my shirt had a baby skeleton in the tummy). While I was doing this I let Brooklyn play with some candles which she dropped and the glass shattered. I was too busy to pick it up then so later on in the day I accidentally stepped on it and sliced my foot, it was all too exciting.

In the midst of all of this my sister Lexi and I were decorating the trailer for our trunk-or-treat. Bart and I always think it would be fun to decorate it but he gets too busy so this year I just decided to do it with Lexi and it turned out great. All of the walls were decorated like a dungeon with skeletons, there were glowing eye balls, skeletons in cages hanging from the ceiling and spider webs all over, it turned out great ( i wish the pictures turned out better they do not do it justice).

So I am very proud of everything that I got done and of course Brooklyn was so adorable in her cat costume. She was so much fun, Brooklyn loved handing out the candy as much as getting it and she loved wearing her costume (she thought she was really neat and loved to look at herself in the mirror). We ended the night up at our friends Joel and Amber's house where the kids had alot of fun and by the end of the night Brooklyn's outfit looked like it got attacked by chocolate. It was a great day!!!

Daddy's Girl

We had alot of fun at Spirit Lake on Grandpa's fishing boat. You can't tell from the picture but Brooklyn had a blast and was babbling away the whole time, she was even pointing out all of the things for us to look at in the mountains (she was coping Bart).
They just finished a major tickle game and were taking a little time to rest.

I love watching dads and daughters interact with one another, it is one of the sweetest things.
Brooklyn loves to watch for Bart when he comes home from work, we wait on the couch looking out the window. When she spots his truck she starts jumping up and down screaming "Papa, Papa!!", she then races over to the door and waits to welcome him with a big hug and a kiss, I don't think it gets much better than that.

Fun in the Sun

I found this sweet climber with 2 slides, a tunnel, and 3 landings on craigslist for $50!! It provides hours of fun and entertainment for Brooklyn (and us).

Brooklyns is such a sweet heart and loves to give kisses. One last kiss before she heads down the big slide.

I am also amazed at the construction of these plastsic toys, I got in it with Brooklyn and was crawling around and it felt pretty sturdy (not the tunnel or the slides of course). I am so happy for warm weather and being able to play outside, it is so much fun!!

I want to do the things mommy does!

How exactly do these work, I think I'm getting closer?!
I could put on chapstick all day, sometimes I even eat it.
My lips look beautiful now.
It is so fun being a girl!!

I LOVE YOGURT!

Brooklyn was helping me put away the groceries and after a few minutes she disappeared around the corner. She was being really quiet so I thought that she had found a good book to read or something but Brooklyn found something much better. She had opened up a yogurt all by herself and was having a wonderful time (although I think she knew she was doing something a little bit naughty). I figured that she couldn't make much more of a mess than she already had so why not let her play in it and we all had a good laugh.

Easter Sunday

This Easter was alot of fun and I also learned a few things. First I hid the eggs and left them all empty because I thought that she would have fun with all of the bright colored plastic eggs and not care about the candy but I was wrong. First thing Brooklyn did was open all the eggs and she was very concerned that there was nothing in them. So then I quickly rounded up all of the eggs and filled them with fruit snacks and other goodies. By then she could really care less and was way more interested in my wallet. I guess next time I will learn to do it right the first time.

St. Patrick's Day!

It was fun dressing Brooklyn in green, she was wearing green yoga pants, a green hair bow and there were green stripes in her shirt. No pinchers allowed only kisses and she is very good at giving kisses!

Valentine's Day 2008

Brooklyn had alot of fun on Valentin's Day. She was most excited about the balloon that Grandma Sue brought over. Brooklyn would much rather try to eat the balloon than the chocolates!
